Shigaki Kenta
Professor
Affiliation Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering
Discipline Particle/Nuclear Physics
Academic Degrees The University of Tokyo Doctor of Science
The University of Tokyo Master of Science
Research Fields Mathematical and physical sciences; Physics; Particle / Nuclear / Cosmic ray / Astro physics
Research Keywords deconfined partonic phase / high energy nucleus-nucles collision / multi-quark system
Comments Physics of multi-quark system via relativistic nucleus-nucleus collision experiments is my specialty. I look into the state of matter which existed in the very-early universe in several millionths of a second after the Big Ban, by colliding nuclei accelerated nearly to the speed of light. The main research interest: generation mechanism of mass via spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking. The current main stage of research: CERN near Geneva, Switzerland. Favorite words: It is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice.
