Hiroshima University Doctor of Philosophy Hiroshima University Master |
Research Fields |
Biology; Basic biology; Animal physiology / Animal behavior |
Research Keywords | ion channel / synaptic plasticity / neuro peptide |
Comments | We are interested in the structure and function of ion channels, which are membrane proteins permitting passive ion transport across the cell membrane. Ion channels are important determinants of neuronal excitability and plasticity. Currently, we are conducting research mainly on the peptide-gated Na+ channel and the voltage-gated K+ channels. |
