| Comments | Natural product chemistry is my major field of study. I am working on the discovery of candidate compounds for medicines from natural resources such as microorganisms and herbal medicines, and elucidating their structures and functions. In particular, I am trying to discover new drug candidate compounds from microorganisms, which have been difficult to cultivate, by using a special cultivation technique to isolate and culture them. In the lectures, I am in charge of the sections on structural analysis methods and biosynthesis of natural organic compounds. |
