| Comments | My main research theme is the relationship between periodontitis and systemic disease. Periodontitis is a minor chronic inflammation, but it is known to have a negative impact on systemic diseases. I am particularly focused on the relationship of periodontitis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), premature birth, and atrial fibrillation. |
