Comments | My research interests are discovery and enrichment of microorganisms that are useful for water treatment. In particular, I am focusing on (anaerobic ammonium oxidation) anammox bacteria that can efficiently remove ammonia in wastewater. Currently, our laboratory has three enrichment cultures of different species of anammox bacteria. Taking advantage of the different characteristics of each species, I am considering to apply it not only to the field of wastewater treatment but also to livestock wastewater and aquaculture wastewater. |
