Comments | Synchrotron radiation is often referred to as the "light of dreams," and it has now spread across a wide range of fields, from basic to applied sciences. Since first encountering synchrotron radiation at university, I have been engaged in research for over 30 years to investigate the properties of materials using this technology. In addition to my work in condensed matter physics, I have also focused on developing synchrotron radiation measurement techniques required for experiments. I have worked on fostering talent by utilizing the synchrotron radiation facility at the university. To address the declining interest in science, I have been involved in outreach activities that use the facility to inspire local children and help them experience the excitement of science. In the post-pandemic era, I am also actively working on the use of information technologies, including virtual reality (VR). |
