Comments Hui-Ling Chan is a brain scientist trained with computer science and engineering. She received the PhD degree from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2015. During 2013-2014, she visited the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University, Canada. Her expertise is in developing brain mapping algorithms and analysis tools for understanding how the human brain works. Her research interest is to advance mental health and precision medicine with brain mapping, peripheral physiological measurements, and machine learning & deep learning techniques.

She is currently the assistant professor (special appointment) in the Center for Brain, Mind, and Kansei sciences research, Hiroshima University. Her research projects cover biomarker identification and neural mechanism investigation for mental diseases.
