Academic Degrees University of Illinois Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics
University of Illinois Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language

Research Keywords Second Language Acquisition
Comments My specialization is Second Language Acquisition. I am interested in how adult second language learners of Japanese acquire language in language classrooms, and what kind of problems and issues they encounter in their acquisition process. What I learn from SLA research helps me rethink teaching practice and develop instructional materials and tools.
