Discipline Education
Academic Degrees
Research Fields Social sciences; Education; Education
Research Keywords general education, Allgemeine Bildung / Bildungstheorie / Curriculum study / History of Didactics / Didactics
Comments He specializes in German Didaktik, or especially focusing on excavating various discourses on the grounding principles of curriculum construction from the perspective of "Bildung" theory. Key question is "What is to be taught/learned in school?" Depending on the era, language became the basis of humanity, while gymnastics became the core of curriculum in wartime. There was also a time when astronomy and natural geography were said to be more important than anything else. By exploring the history of these various rationales, he is exploring an alternative image of modern curriculum theory.
Research interest: Curriculum, Bildung, and educational reform are the primary matters of concern. Dissertation dealt Humboldt's Bildung theory and his educational reform (2020).
Lesson Study and International Curriculum Studies are my current target to explore.
