Comments Dr. Masaki Mizobuchi is an Associate Professor in Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, JAPAN. Before joining the Hiroshima University, he was a professor at NUCB Business School, Nagoya, JAPAN. Prior to this, he was an Ernest May Fellow in History and Policy at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the John F. Kennedy School of Public Policy at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA.

He earned his PhD in Area Studies from Sophia University, Tokyo, JAPAN, in 2011.

His current research interests include political, economic, and military/security issues in the Middle East, the U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, and Islamic political thought and movements.
