Associate Professor
Affiliation Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life
Discipline Biotechnology
Academic Degrees The University of Tokyo Doctor of Agriculture
The University of Tokyo Master of Agriculture
Research Fields Agricultural sciences; Agricultural chemistry; Applied biochemistry
Research Keywords biosensing / fusion tag / semiconductor / affinity purification / silicon-binding (silica-binding) protein / biomineralization
Comments My current research focuses on bacterial biosilicification (silica biomineralization), the biological process through which soluble silicic acid, Si(OH)4, is polymerized intracellularly and deposited as insoluble silica, SiO2.
