Comments My research interests are Japanese Studies and Japanese language education, intercultural education, and international education, including cultural adjustment and readjustment, culture shock and reverse culture shock, international educational exchange, and international experiential learning that connect international students, local society, and local students in Japan. I am currently working on the research on Japanese Studies education, and the research that holistically captures students' experiences from pre-departure time through reentry to develop support system. I have been the Director for the Hiroshima University Study Abroad (HUSA) Program (2003-2021). I taught Japanese language courses, Japanese Studies courses, and internship courses. I also belong to the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (Pedagogy Program), and the Research Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
