Comments | I was born in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, and graduated from Oyama Jonan Junior High School and Tochigi High School. I spent my student days at Tohoku University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where I worked as an assistant, assistant professor (studied at ETH Zurich as a JSPS overseas fellow for two years), lecturer and associate professor before moving to my current position at the Graduate School of Biomedical and Health Sciences, Hiroshima University in April 2023. I am developing cutting-edge research surrounded by students who are highly motivated in their research. We possess the technology to simultaneously quantify the abundance of thousands of proteins with high accuracy and sensitivity for membrane proteins by quantitative proteomics, which can be applied to a wide variety of samples, including frozen and FFPE human tissues, animals, cells, plants, insects and micro-organisms (The Young Scientists' Award, The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). We aim to open up the next generation of pharmaceutics called 'Molecular Systems Pharmaceutics', and to elucidate the mysteries of the brain, brain activity and the molecular mechanisms of human central nervous system disorders, as well as drug discovery for those disorders. We are currently recruiting staff and graduate students, so please feel free to contact us. E-mail, yuchida@hiroshima-u.ac.jp |
